Orbix ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. Orbix is designed from the ground up as a standalone client media player application. We do not require registration, do not host content, and do not track our users.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
No Personal Information: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account registrations.
No Analytics or Tracking: The application does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking trackers, or telemetry software.
No Content Logging: We do not monitor, log, or track what channels, movies, or series you stream.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
IPTV Credentials & URLs: When you connect an Xtream Codes account or M3U playlist, the server URL, username, and password are stored exclusively on your device. These credentials are encrypted using hardware-backed Android Keystore and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
Playback Preferences: Watch history, playback resume positions, favorites, and parental control PIN settings are saved in a local SQLite database on your device.
4. Device Permissions Used
Internet (android.permission.INTERNET): Required solely to stream media and fetch electronic program guide (EPG) metadata directly from the IPTV server specified by you.
Audio Recording (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Used exclusively when you explicitly tap the microphone button in search for voice recognition. The audio input is processed locally via Android's native Speech Recognition service and is never recorded, saved, or uploaded to any server.
5. Content & Third-Party Services Disclaimer
Orbix is solely a media player. We do not supply, host, or distribute any media content or playlists. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to access the content streams you configure within the application.
6. Children's Privacy
Orbix does not collect any data from children. The app includes parental control features allowing parents to lock categories and adult content behind a 4-digit PIN code.
